  • ALONG THE YARRA

    Not keen on venturing far from the venue? Southbank has a number of tasty options, right on the MCEC doorsteps.

    For casual dining, try Plus 5 for tapas and pizza.

    Try Munich Brauhaus for an authentic German Bier Hall experience.

    For a funky and tasty Thai, BangPop! is a very popular riverside spot.

  • INDIGENOUS OWNED - Big Esso

    Open Tuesday - Sunday, 11am til late, Big Esso is conveniently located in Fed Square about a 20 minute walk away from the MCEC. Their menu is inspired by the Torres Strait Islands and Australia's tropical north, and their supply chain sources from First Nations organisations where possible. It's a great opportunity to experience some native Australian ingredients in a fun, communal environment. Check their website for more information and make sure to book for large groups.

  • CBD FAVOURITES

    A short walk or tram ridge opens the door to a wide range of dining experiences to delegates.

    A permanent favourite of many locals which offers a ‘Feed Me’ menu for when you just can’t decide, Chin Chin offers south east asian flavours in a busy CBD location. Bookings recommended as this place booked quickly, even on a weekday.

    How about an authentic Spanish tapas in one of Melbourne’s famous laneways? Try Movida for a tasty experience in Hosier Lane (bookings recommended).

  • CHINATOWN

    Spaning only a few city blocks, Chinatown is packed with dining options.

    For the ‘gold standard’ in Chinese food that is often sited amongst Melbourne’s top restaurants, try Flower Drum.

    For fast, Michelin-star food without the price, Hawker Chan is a great option.

  • LYGON ST

    Lygon St in Carlton is Melbourne’s ‘Little Italy’ - and just a short tram ride north of Melbourne CBD.

    D.O.C serves mouthwatering, woodfired pizza with all the anti-pasto offerings you’d expect and crave.

    Tiamo is a great all-round restaurant for a quick and filling dinner.

    For something more up-scale, Agostino offers a range of authentic pasta options.
