Places to Explore

  • NATIONAL GALLERY VICTORIA (NGV)

    Founded in 1861, the National Gallery of Victoria is Australia's oldest art museum. With a mix of permanent displays and travelling exhibitions, there's always something interesting to see or experience at the NGV. Even if the current exhibition is not interesting to you, the building itself is worth a visit, if only to see the beautiful stained glass ceiling which is one of the world's largest.

  • MELBOURNE CRICKET GROUND (MCG)

    One iconic arenas of sport and locally referred to as "The 'G'", the Melbourne Cricket Ground regularly hosts a wide range of sports and entertainment throughout the year. Tours will take you behind-the-scenes, show off the MCG Library or an beautiful views of Melbourne's city skyline

  • VICTORIA STATE LIBRARY

    First opened in 1856, the State Library is one of Melbourne's founding institutions and was established a mere 20 years after Melbourne was officially settled. It's known for it's historical architecture, dynamic spaces and of course, books. Visit their website for a more information about their free tours.

  • SHRINE OF REMEMBERANCE & ROYAL BOTANIC GARDENS

    Built in honour of the Victorian service men and women who served in World War I, this notable landmark is a short walk, just outside the CBD. Even if you can’t visit during the day, the Shrine is worth a visit at night and enjoy a refreshing walk among in the picturesque Royal Botanic Gardens.

  • MORNINGTON PENINSULA

    South East of the city is the Mornington Peninsula, a popular tourist and holiday destination.
