Living and breathing health - Is it time for clean indoor standards and a revolution on air pollution?

Perspectives & Insights

SESSION DETAILS

Tuesday 23 April, 2pm - 3:30pm AEST
Breakout 2

There has never been a better time to act when it comes to ensuring that the air we breathe is clean and safe. The indoor environment is where airborne diseases spread most readily and a range of pollutants accumulate, like bushfire smoke, vehicle exhaust and pollens. Given that we spend around 90% of our time indoors, a significant opportunity exists to improve health, productivity, and academic achievement by transforming our built environment to one that guarantees clean indoor air. During this session we will hear from a range of experts across academia, government, policy, and the private sector. The evidence for clean indoor air will be explored, case studies showcased, and future opportunities considered.
