Shita Dewi has background in Social and Political Science, Economy, and also in Public Policy. She joined the Centre for Health Policy and Management, Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing Universitas Gadjah Mada in 1998. In the early 2000s, she started working to support the Ministry of Health, Government of Indonesia, facilitating Indonesian policymakers learning about decentralization and health reforms. She also worked closely with developing partners such as USAID, the World Bank, WHO, as well as Local Governments in providing capacity building and advocacy for health policies. She also facilitates international annual policy course on Private Sector Engagement in collaboration with Asia Pacific Network for Health System Strengthening.
