Dr Nick Crosbie is an applied scientist and research manager at Melbourne Water who specialises in water-quality risk assessment and mitigation. His research interests include harmful and nuisance algae, emerging water pollutants, waterborne pathogens, water-related illness, and wastewater-based epidemiology. Dr Crosbie worked collaboratively with colleagues in the water sector, research organisations and the Department of Health to establish wastewater surveillance of SARS-CoV-2 in Victoria. Nick holds honorary positions at the University of New South Wales and the University of Melbourne.
