Dr. Google, online echo chambers, AI, bots and trolls – the list goes on.  There’s lots of ways tech spreads harmful information and it can have a very real impact on us, our wellbeing and our health.

This open-discussion, panel-led and evocative event will shed light on the mis and disinformation in health and explores the pitfalls of searching for the right health information online.

What role does social media play? Do influencers and marketers have a responsibility? Should we hold Big Tech companies accountable?  How do we tell the difference between reliable evidence and vicious fake news?  We are bringing together public health experts, journalists and content creators to answer these burning questions.

Join us for this exclusive discussion presented by VicHealth in association with the 2024 World Health Summit Regional Meeting hosted by Monash University.
