Jessica is the Project Coordinator of the Citarum Action Research Program (CARP) located within the Monash Sustainable Development Institute and Monash Art, Design, and Architecture Faculty. Her expertise is in environmental and climate security – understanding how the earth’s physical properties and a changing climate impact communities in Australia and internationally. Jessica’s specific interests are at the grassroots level for rural and remote communities and are centred on Just Transitions – ensuring all stakeholders receive appropriate outcomes during net-zero transitions, specifically people in industry, Indigenous groups, and cultures.

Jessica was previously the coordinator of the UN Sustainable Development Report Project and continues to work across additional projects and portfolios at MSDI. She has broad experience working both locally and internationally within her field, with a commitment to understanding and engaging with everyday people, industry, and businesses, who are experiencing the impacts of a changing climate.

From Tasmania, Jessica is personally involved in the agriculture, forestry, and agriculture industries, providing her with a unique and interdisciplinary perspective when problem-solving and collaborating for sustainable futures.

Jessica completed a Bachelor of Global Studies, specialising in International Relations and a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Earth Science at Monash University, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Business Management. In addition, she is currently completing a Master of Environmental Management and Development at ANU.
