Dr Jasmine Elliott

Psychiatry Registrar, Bendigo Health, Australia

Jasmine (she/her) is a 23-year-old living and working on Dja Dja Wurrung Land in Bendigo, Victoria. Jasmine channels her personal journey seeking support for mental illness in rural and regional Australia into a commitment to bridge ongoing service fragmentation and gaps faced in smaller communities. Jasmine’s involvement in youth mental health advocacy grew from cofounding the Gladstone headspace Youth Reference Group, to working as an Online Peer Support Moderator with eheadspace, and becoming a member of the headspace National Youth Reference Group (2021-2023). As one of the inaugural Youth Advisors to the Orygen Board and a member of the Loddon Mallee Interim Body for Mental Health and Wellbeing, Jasmine actively shapes mental health initiatives at local, state, and national levels.

Jasmine is also a Monash Medicine alumnus and recently began working as a Psychiatric Registrar in 2024. She enjoys combining her interests in system reform and advocacy, with her love for clinical mental health work.

In her spare time, you’ll find Jasmine at a farmer’s market, on a hiking track or hanging out with her kittens, Bee and Honey.
