Dr Inez Mikkelsen-Lopez is a Senior Health Specialist at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) focusing on the Pacific Region. She received her master’s degree in Health Economics from the University of Queensland and a PhD from the Swiss Tropical Institute, Basel. She started her career in global health as a Junior Professional Associate at the World Bank and has worked in management consulting, academia and the pharmaceutical industry before joining the ADB. Her focus is on health systems strengthening, particularly on health financing, digital health and health services. She led the design of large health investments in health infrastructure, immunization, digital health, health workforce capacity and in health policy. She has published knowledge products on health financing and digital health in the pacific.
