Dr Donald Wilson is the Acting Dean of the College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at the Fiji National University. He has previously held the roles of Associate Dean - Research and Director of the Fiji Institute of Pacific Health Research (FIPHR) and Head of the School of Public Health and Primary Care.

Dr Wilson is a Public Health Physician and spent 12 years in Japan where he obtained a PhD degree in the area of occupational and environmental epidemiology. His doctoral research was on respiratory health effects of ambient air pollution in industrial cities of Northeastern China.

His current areas of research interest are in water-sensitive diseases and re-emerging CD's, sexual reproductive health, NCD's particularly its disease burden and the importance of policy responses.
