Alison Feeley works as a Nutrition Specialist based at UNICEF East Asia Pacific Regional Office in Bangkok where she provides technical support to UNICEF country teams on strengthening policies and programmes to prevent overweight and obesity, and nutrition in school age children.

In her previous role Alison worked on the technical guidance and scale up of weight management services for children and adults in England at the Office of Health Improvement and Disparities in the Department of Health and Social Care. Previous posts include Senior Scientist at MRC/Wits Developmental Pathways for Health Research Unit at the University of the Witwatersrand based in Soweto-Johannesburg working on the Birth to Twenty longitudinal study, researching dietary patterns on obesity risk among adolescents. Alison spent four years as Nutrition Programme Manager for UNICEF South Africa. Her experience extends to all forms of malnutrition and Infant and Young Child Feeding.

Alison has an MSc in Public Health Nutrition (London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine) and a PhD in Nutritional Epidemiology from the University of the Witwatersrand.
